Interested in getting involved with a project to design and create software games? This may be your springboard. A team is being assembled of people interested in developing a game or series of games.

This is currently on a hobby/enthusiast level. No income is guaranteed but you'll more than likely gain a ton of experience under your belt in addition to networking with others that share your level of interest. Doers and dreamers are sifted apart here.

Any level of skill is welcome and everyone that can contribute is considered. Potential and desire are the key qualities.

Looking for people talented in any of the fields below:

Game Designers - Able to come up with game concepts on multiple levels giving the rest of the team a vision and goal. Requires a good level of creativity, imagination and looking outside of the box. Also requires skill to see the end product, test it and recommend adjustments.

Conceptual Artists - Requires the artistic ability to sketch out characters and things that spring from the imagination. No technical requirements for this level but stuff like Photoshop is obviously a plus.

Graphic Artists - Ability to work with textures and software like Photoshop. The level of skill can vary greatly from web designers to strictly photoshop artists.

3D Artists - Requires knowledge of how to work with textures, 3D meshes and converting concepts to models and animation. There needs to be some level of knowledge when it comes to working with vectors and meshes with 3D software like Maya, Lightwave, Blender, 3DSMax, etc.

Coders - The platform for each project may vary so there's no one particular language required. What's more important is your flexibility to learn different languages making the team more versatile over time. C++ is obviously a given plus but scripting languages like PHP, Python, Flash/Actionscript are most certainly assets. The platform of what the entire team is able to build obviously relies upon the coding team's ability.

Musicians and Sound Engineers - The most important skill is to take ideas from the game design and put sound to it. We're not necessarily looking for an all-in-one individual for sound understanding that composing is completely different from sound effects or converting it all into a format. If you have any level of ability ranging from music, sound or digital conversion, your skills are needed.
